JAPANESE ISSHONI MINI NUMBER NOTEBOOK | POCKET GRID NOTEBOOK | DAIGO

Small enough for a pocket, yet surprisingly substantial.

Made in Japan by DAIGO, this award-winning isshoni. mini notebook combines 192 pages, a practical grid layout and an ingenious page-number system in a notebook measuring just 11 cm tall.

Description

Designed for notes that you may actually want to find again, the isshoni. Number Mini takes the idea of a pocket notebook a little further.

Each page is numbered, while an index at the beginning of the notebook lets you record where important notes, ideas or information can be found. Instead of flicking through dozens of pages later, simply add a short title beside the relevant page number in the index.

Despite its compact 110 × 60 mm footprint, the notebook contains an impressive 192 pages. It feels noticeably more substantial than its small size suggests, making it particularly useful as an everyday notebook for people who want something genuinely pocketable without sacrificing writing space.

The pages use a 5 mm square grid, suitable for handwriting, lists, sketches, diagrams and structured notes. The page numbers are positioned diagonally so that the notebook can be used comfortably in either portrait or landscape orientation.

A thread-bound construction allows the notebook to open approximately 180 degrees, while the original writing paper is designed for a comfortable writing experience.

The exterior continues the same practical approach. A durable polypropylene cover helps protect the notebook from scratches and can be wiped clean when needed. Its translucent grid design gives the notebook a distinctly modern Japanese stationery aesthetic.

Available in a selection of colours including understated grey and blue alongside brighter pink, aqua and lime green.

A Small Notebook with a Clever Index

The first pages act as an index. Simply write a short description beside the corresponding page number whenever you make a note worth returning to.

Meeting notes, addresses, ideas, lists or small observations no longer disappear somewhere in the middle of the notebook.

It is a remarkably simple idea — and exactly the kind of small functional detail that makes good Japanese stationery so satisfying to use.
