JAPANESE LUCKY MOTIFS GREETINGS CARD - SYMBOL OF GOOD FORTUNE | NBC
JAPANESE LUCKY MOTIFS GREETINGS CARD - SYMBOL OF GOOD FORTUNE | NBC
£3.80A celebration of good fortune, gathered in one distinctly Japanese design.
Description
Filled with traditional Japanese symbols of happiness and good fortune, this greeting card brings together a colourful collection of engimono — auspicious motifs that have long appeared in Japanese celebrations, seasonal decorations and gifts.
Against a warm red background, familiar symbols including the maneki-neko (beckoning cat), daruma, crane, sea bream, kadomatsu, decorative temari balls and traditional knots are arranged like hanging ornaments. Delicate gold foil detailing adds a festive finish and gives the card a richer, more decorative character.
Rather than being limited to one occasion, the card includes two interchangeable inner sheets: one printed for seasonal and New Year greetings, and one left plain for a personal message. An accompanying envelope completes the set.
It is a small gift in itself — cheerful, decorative and filled with symbols whose meanings extend far beyond their appearance
