MIKI YUSEKI JAPANESE POCHIBUKURO GIFT ENVELOPES | SET OF 5
£3.80A little envelope for a little gesture of kindness.
Designed by Japanese calligrapher and artist Miki Yuseki (御木幽石), these small Japanese gift envelopes combine gentle illustrations with handwritten messages of gratitude, happiness and affection.
Each pack contains 5 matching envelopes.
Description
In Japan, pochibukuro (ぽち袋) are small decorative envelopes traditionally used when giving money, but their purpose extends far beyond that.
They can hold a small monetary gift, a handwritten message, a gift card or simply a few words of thanks — turning something small into a more thoughtful gesture.
Miki Yuseki brings his characteristic warmth to this tradition through soft watercolour, expressive calligraphy and playful characters. Rather than formal ceremonial envelopes, these feel friendly, personal and quietly cheerful.
That makes them particularly easy to reinterpret outside Japan.
Use one to accompany a birthday gift, tuck a small note inside a present, give someone a little surprise, or simply say thank you in a way that feels more special than an ordinary envelope.
